Panafest festival is a cultural event dedicated to the ideals of Pan-Africanism.
This tour is tailored to make it easy to see more of the Panafest Festival 2011 in Ghana. This is specialize tour dedicated to the panafest events. See and participate in all the Panafest Events, bazaars and durbars.
Day 1: Arrival
On arrival, our team will meet you at the Accra Kotoka Airport assist and cheuffered you to the Hotel with our Airport shuttle service. Orientation will be made and details of the tours explained.
Day 2: City Tour
Tour the city of accra for a day. Inclcuding attending Durbars of Chiefs and cultural performances in Accra. We end the days tour with visit La beach to cool off and relax before heading back to the hotel. Overnight in Accra.
Day 3: Cape Coast
Depart to Cape Coast and start our tour right after we arrive in Cape Coast. The cape coast will take us to the Kakum National Park, one of Ghana`s renowned parks with a great Canopy Walkway our first day in cape coast. The day will also take us to some local spots joints in the area exploring the historic towns of Cape Coast & night out to enjoy night life cape style. Overnight in cape coast.
Day4: PANAFEST Ceremonies
Will visit bazaars, durbars and PANAFEST ceremonies including performances and colourful parades in cape coast and elimina. Overnight in Elimina.
Day 5: Castles & Slave Dungeons
We then continue on a tour to the infamous Castles and Slave Dungeons, you will expreince a real encounter of what slaves went through at this castle back in the slave trade era. We will also visit West African Historical Museum, elimina & the Posuban Shrines. Overnight in Cape Coast.
Day 6: Villages & Evergreen Forests
Depart to Kumasi the capital of the Ashanti kingdom. Drive past many scenic villages and towns through the evergreen forests. You get the see the villages at first hand. On Arrival at kumasi we check into hotel relax and take a supper head later at night for local nightlife kumasi style. Overnight in Kumasi.
Day 7 & 8: Ashanti Region
Our Tour in Ashanti region will include visit the Okomfo Anokye Sword, Manhyia Palace , Museum , Pankronu the clay pots village, Ahwiaa the word carving village Ntonso the adinkra cloth town, Bonwire kente village, National Cultural Center, Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, kejetia market one of west Africa largest market & vist to lake Bosumtwi for relaxation. Overnight in Kumasi. Return and prepare for departure.
Day 9: Boti falls & Aburi
We head back to accra stoping by at Boti falls for a quick break then to Aburi craft village and stop over at kitase to see the peduase lodge which used to be presidential holiday resort used by Ghana first Dr Kwame Nkrumah. Overnight in Aburi.
Day 10: Our tour takes to Akosombo
Trip to Akosombo pier where we board the dodi princes and enjoy ghana style weekend Cruising on the largest man made lake in the world, enjoy lunch on the volta and explore the Dodi Island. We head back to Accra and re-check into our hotel in Accra. Overnight in Accra.
Day 11: A day at the Krokobite Beach
Enjoy accra night life with locals.
Day 12: Shopping at markets
Time for shopping for souvernirs and preparation for departure.
Day 13: Departure
Off to Kotoka Airport and depart.
